Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy bound in early limp tacketed vellum with fore-edge cover extensions and a manuscript label, in an early hand, on the spine. A calligraphic manuscript label, also in an early hand, is present on the tail-edge of the text block. The front free endpaper contains two early inscriptions in iron gall ink. The first appears to be in Latinate Italian and is dated "1573 di 15 ottobris" [October 15, 1578]. The second inscription, which appears to be in a later hand, is mostly illegible, though the first name appears to be "Alehandro." The bookplate of the Boston Public Library is present on the front pastedown
